Until this model year, the most upscale version of Ford’s popular midsize sedan that you could buy was the richly-appointed Titanium model. But along with the updates to the 2017 Fusion aimed at making the car more sporty and upscale, the all-new Platinum trim dials things up in an impressive way—reaching into the territory of “near luxury.”
Standard power in the Fusion Platinum comes with Ford’s 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline-four with 240 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. AWD, and both hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains are optional, although many will find the petrol mill’s acceleration to be plenty. Visually differentiated from the lineup with a unique mesh grille and chrome accents, it certainly looks more up market, but it’s the interior that really stands out. Heated and cooled front seats, SYNC 3 infotainment, a rotary shift dial, 12-speaker Sony entertainment, and premium leather are all standard fair. As the top trim, the Platinum also gets the full equipment compliment.
To see how this more up-market version of the Fusion feels from the driver’s seat, we invite you to schedule a test drive at our Ford dealership in Hicksville, OH at your convenience. We can go over all the available options before scheduling you to take it for a spin.
